While carefully observing the landscape, Jesper Nyrén registers his impressions and sensations at different seasons and locations, often through photographs and sketches. In the finished paintings, light, atmosphere and materiality are then subtly combined to recreate the experienced moments for the viewer.The structure of the works rests on a loose symmetry of parts that are ultimately balanced against each other in both colour and composition.
