DANIEL ROBERT HUNZIKER 

In his first solo exhibition at ANNAELLEGALLERY, the Swiss artist, Daniel Robert Hunziker, incorporates the architectural structures of the gallery space as an integrated part of his work. The exhibition, titled Spacing, contains three-dimensional sculptural works, a series of paper works and individual wall pieces, all made out of material related to the artist´s perception of the developed world.

Underlining both the conscious and the unconscious parts of aesthetical, functional and constructive matters, Hunziker forms a dialog within the exhibition space that brings up questions regarding the architecture and social structure of urban society. Varying in geometrical and spatial shapes and sizes, the works presented are contained by material such as brick, steel, glass and paper, all relating to the visitor´s structural daily life and to the human body.

Daniel Robert Hunziker (b. 1965 in Walenstadt, Switzerland) lives and works in Zürich, Switzerland. Hunziker studied Architecture at ETH Zürich and Fine Arts at Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Zürich, Switzerland. Previously, his works has been shown at von Bartha, Basel; von Bartha Chesa S-chanf; Kunsthaus Langenthal; Andreas Grimm, München; Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aargau; Museum Wiesbaden; Galerie Kenworthy Ball, Zürich among others.

I sin första separatutställning på ANNAELLEGALLERY integrerar den schweiziska konstnären Daniel Robert Hunziker sina konstverk med galleriets arkitektoniska strukturer. I utställningen Spacing visar Hunziker tredimensionella skulpturala verk, en serie teckningar och en rad väggobjekt – alla materialinspirerade och influerade av den urbana miljön, såsom tegel, stål, glas och papper etc.

Hunziker framhäver både det medvetna och det omedvetna delarna av estetiska, funktionella och konstruktiva frågor i sina verk. I utställningsrummet skapar han ett samtal om arkitektur och sociala strukturer i det moderna samhället. Verken förhåller sig både i sin geometriska framställning och i sin storlek till betraktarens strukturella, dagliga liv och till den mänskliga kroppen.

Daniel Robert Hunziker (1965 ) är född i Walenstadt , Schweiz men bor och arbetar i Zürich, Schweiz . Hunziker studerade arkitektur vid ETH Zürich och konst vid Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Zürich, Schweiz. Tidigare har hans verk visats på von Bartha , Basel; von Bartha Chesa , S - chanf; Kunsthaus Langenthal; Andreas Grimm , München; Aargauer Kunsthaus , Aargau; Museum Wiesbaden; Galerie Kenworthy Ball , Zürich med flera.
